Diet Tips

"The mode in which the inevitable comes to pass is through effort".

Oliver Wendell Holmes

Drink at least 2 litres of water per day.

Water is essential for the smooth running of the metabolism, much like oil is to an engine.

Aim to drink a glass of water when you feel hungry.

Hunger pangs can be related to dehydration.

Carbs are not bad - What matters is the type of carbs! Eat more complex carbs like oats or brown rice to keep your energy levels steady and fight off sugar cravings.

Avoid heavy meals after 6pm.

Your metabolism slows down in the evening and excess calories are less likely to be burned off!

Good fats are essential for a healthy body.

Certain fats found in foods such as olive oil, nuts, seeds and oily fish are beneficial and can help energy production and speed up your metabolism.

Avoid eating 3 large meals a day.

Aim to have 4 or 5 smaller portions to keep your metabolism fired up and avoid fluctuating energy levels.

If you keep a food diary of everything you eat and drink you are 200% more likely to lose weight.
